Have you ever tried this . . . .
What is music?
This was the first question Julian Clark asked us in his Music History block course. He is a great pianist from Stuttgart Eurythmy School and our regular music history block course teacher. We will update our class when we have him again. Last time when he was here, we worked on the Steiner's eurythmy Form. It was great so that he would play a different pieces which Steiner made eurythmy form for. Then we tried to draw the form spontaneously while listening to him. And we compared with what Steiner had done! Great! Then he would explain the style of the music and what Steiner perceived from this piece's etheric stream. This is so interesting to do! Sometime our fellow student would draw very similar form to Steiner's, then Julian would scream "HE HAS MADE THE STEINER FORM!"
